Led by a strong team of Chartered Surveyors and industry specialists, the company continues to grow while helping clients navigate complex construction, retrofit, and fire safety challenges.
To learn more about the business and the people behind it, we caught up with Anthony Bassett and asked a few questions:
What does your business do?
Taylor Lewis is an independent professional construction consultancy providing a range of specialist services and advise to both public and private sector clients. As Chartered Surveyors, our core services include Employer Agents, Contract Administration, Joint Venture Advisors, Cost Consultancy, Project Management, Building Surveying and Principal Design duties. We have a dedicated Retrofit Division with Retrofit Assessors and coordinators to assist our clients to achieve the new standards set by Government, and our Fire Safety Team operates nationally with objective of correcting the historic failings of passive fire safety measures in the industry.
What problems do you solve for your clients?
We regularly deal with construction quality and specification-related issues for our clients, ensuring the health and safety of residents is protected and ensuring buildings and structures are fit for purpose and easy to maintain.
What do you like about being based here?
The location, quality and flexibility of office space, use of meeting rooms and friendly staff.
What’s a milestone that you’re particularly proud of?
Reaching 50 employees by recently opening our Birmingham Office.

Approachable, honest and hard working.
